WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – Two cities and one township in Washtenaw County are some of the most violent in the state, according to recent FBI data.
Ypsilanti was ranked the 12th most violent city in Michigan and 84th nationally for 2025, with a rate of just above eight violent crimes per thousand residents, the federal database for 2025 shows.
