RAYNHAM (WBSM) — A Brockton man has been arrested on multiple firearm charges following a traffic stop in Raynham Tuesday afternoon.
According toRaynham Police, on August 18 at about 2:15 p.m., Sgt. Joshua O’Brien was on patrol and observed a black SUV traveling eastbound on King Philip Street going 47 MPH in a 30-MPH zone.
Traffic Stop Uncovers Suspended License and Speeding
Sgt. O’Brien was able to stop the vehicle and he identified the driver as Anthony Luma Auguste, 33, of Brockton. He learned that Auguste’s license was suspended, and that the vehicle was a rental that had been rented by another person.
Police then searched the area along King Philip Street and located a Glock 30 .45-caliber handgun loaded with 13 rounds on the ground about 700 feet from where the black SUV was stopped.
