NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A man was arrested Tuesday night after police say he fought with a North Charleston officer and threatened to kill law enforcement officials at a local gas station.
Adam Charles Carota, 45, of Buffalo, New York, was charged with breach of peace and threatening the life of a public official, according to police.
Officers responded to a gas station on Ashley Phosphate Road shortly after 8 p.m. following reports of a man cursing and causing a disturbance in the parking lot. Upon arrival, an officer found Carota sitting near a dumpster. Police said Carota was irate, boisterous and yelling profanities near customers at the gas pumps.
