TEQUESTA, Fla. (CBS12) — A major effort to reverse decades of erosion and restore three mangrove islands in the Jupiter Narrows broke ground Wednesday in Tequesta.
The Jupiter Narrows Island Restoration Project is expected to rebuild coastal habitat, strengthen the ecosystem, and help protect the Intracoastal Waterway.
The groundbreaking brought together Tequesta Mayor Molly Young, State Sen. Gayle Harrell, State Rep. John Snyder, and Scott and Martha Harris, the parents of Andrew “Red” Harris.
