GRAND COTEAU, La. (KLFY)– Two Grand Coteau police officers, including former police chief Michael Buck, were placed on administrative leave late Tuesday. The move leaves the Police Department with just three full-time officers to patrol the town.
The decision by the Grand Coteau aldermen to place the two officers on leave for the foreseeable future has created unstaffed operational gaps within the department. Department officials expressed concern that the unassigned shifts will force the remaining full-time staff to work extended hours.
