Man gets 20 years for fatal shooting of 20-year-old O’Shay Breaux

CARENCRO, La. (KLFY)– 15th Judicial District Court Judge Michele Billeaud sentenced Matthew Charles to 20 years of hard labor Wednesday in connection with the fatal shooting of 20-year-old O’Shay Breaux.

The shooting occurred two-and-a-half years ago near Collins Street in Carencro.

Investigators determined that Charles, who was 18 years old at the time of the shooting, was present at the scene with a weapon. However, reportedly Charles did not fire his weapon during the incident…
