CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Mo. — On August 14, a YouTube account posted body camera video it obtained legally from the Missouri State Highway Patrol from February 23, 2026, the day Christian County Deputies Gabriel Ramirez and Michael Hislope were killed in the line of duty.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells Ozarks First that they realized that the release was in error, as the case had not been officially closed.
“The records were released by the Missouri State Highway Patrol under the belief they were legally eligible for disclosure. It was subsequently discovered the investigation is ongoing. As a result, all records related to this investigation are currently closed,” a statement from Lt. Eric Brown says…
