VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) – Vancouver police arrested a wanted man on Aug. 5 after a brief chase in a west Vancouver neighborhood that ended with officers treating the man for a suspected overdose.
Cory Smith, who had outstanding warrants out of Kitsap County, was taken into custody near East 14th Street. Police officers had responded to the residence for a welfare check after receiving reports that Smith was at the location in possession of a stolen car from Kitsap County.
With the help of an unmanned aircraft system, officers located Smith in the driveway of the home. When officers told Smith he was under arrest, he ran into the backyard…
