FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A pay-what-you-can café will open soon in Fort Wayne.
The Sparrow Café is scheduled to open on Tuesday, September 1. It will be located at Trinity English Lutheran Church, 450 West Washington Boulevard. The goal will be to provide anyone with a meal regardless of their circumstance.
Customers will have three ways to compensate for their meal. When a person orders at The Sparrow Café, they will have the option to make a financial donation or to donate their time. The customer can donate the suggested price, a minimum $5 donation, or volunteer for 30 minutes…
