Lexington road cleared after vehicle hits deer

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A stretch of Russell Cave Road was partially closed on Thursday morning following a crash involving a vehicle and a deer, according to city officials.

Around 8 a.m. on Aug. 20, the Lexington Traffic Management Center reported that “at least one lane” of Russell Cave Road was blocked near Sahalee Drive, between Faulkner Avenue and Iron Works Pike, after a single vehicle hit a deer.

The Lexington Traffic Management Center did not provide a time for when the area of Thursday’s crash was expected to fully reopen. More information will be provided as it’s made available.
