18-year-old charged with leading THP on chase in stolen car

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is now in police custody after they say he led Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers on a high-speed chase in a stolen car on Wednesday.

Master Boyland, 18, is now charged with evading arrest, intentionally evading arrest in auto, speeding, theft of property $10,000-$60,000, reckless driving, failure to exercise due care, disobedience to traffic control, and driving on the wrong side of the road.

Troopers say around 2:20 a.m., they were patrolling the area of Kirby Parkway and East Raines Road when they saw a silver Infiniti Q50 with no headlights on.

That is when the troopers say they tried to initiate a traffic stop; however, the driver drove off and merged onto the I-385 westbound from Kirby Parkway after disregarding the red traffic signal at the intersection…
