BMW seen doing 100 mph on Onondaga Lake Parkway crashes in Syracuse park

Syracuse, N.Y. — A BMW crashed after speeding through a Syracuse park Wednesday night, narrowly missing a 10-year-old boy before its occupants got out and ran, witnesses said.

The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. at Washington Square Park after the car had been spotted speeding around the Liverpool and Syracuse area, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatch reports.

Around 11:15 p.m., Onondaga County sheriff’s deputies reported seeing a black vehicle with Florida license plates traveling about 100 mph on Onondaga Lake Parkway toward Syracuse, according to dispatches…
