If you saw black smoke near the Bug Fire Wednesday, it’s not a new fire, the smoke is located within the fire’s perimeter.
Fire crews say they are aware of it, so there’s no need to call 911. In an earlier update, they said, “temperatures will be in the upper 80s Wednesday with low humidity. Wind gusts are projected to be around 20 miles per hour in the afternoon. Hot, dry and windy conditions are expected later this week with a potential for thunder and lightning storms this weekend. Smoke may still be present around the fire areas.”
