Three Memphis gang members plead guilty to RICO charges

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Department of Justice announced on Thursday that three gang members from Young Mob or Young Mob Military have pleaded guilty to Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) conspiracy, robbery, firearm death, and drug crimes.

Three defendants, 33-year-old Paul Nelson, also known as “Big Paul” or “Paul Walk,” 40-year-old Edgar Smith, also known as “Chuck P” and “Chucky,” and 35-year-old Cedric Jackson, also known as “Ced” were indicted as part of a larger investigation into a violent gang that resulted in multiple indictments.

In total, the DOJ said that 20 people from the Memphis area have been indicted on federal charges…
