NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The body of the man who went missing after jumping into the Nashville lake known for being the deadliest body of water in Tennessee has been recovered after a multi-day search effort.
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said that preliminary information shows that 72-year-old Phillip Green had taken a boat out on Percy Priest Lake on Sunday with a female companion. After they jumped off the boat to swim, along with a single pool noodle, wind caused the boat to begin drifting.
Green attempted to swim after the boat, leaving the woman with the pool noodle. That’s when he went underwater and failed to resurface…
