Through this stretch, heavy storm chances will vary from 40% Thursday afternoon, 20% Thursday night, 50 to 60% Friday afternoon and evening. Storms will likely gradually settle down Friday night; there could be one or two lightning delays at regional football games.
The tropics continue to behave in classic El Nino fashion: the Atlantic shows virtually no life while the eastern and central Pacific have ever more developing storm threats. The next available Atlantic names are Dolly, Edouard, and Fay… no rush of course!…
