USPS employee arrested in League City following mail theft investigation

LEAGUE CITY – A U.S. Postal Service employee has been arrested and charged with stealing between 10 and 30 pieces of mail following a joint investigation by League City police and federal agents.

Richard Ybanez, 46, of Bacliff, was taken into custody around 3:22 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, after being stopped in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 1600 block of West League City Parkway, according to the League City Police Department.
