COLUMBUS, Ohio — A mandatory evacuation order was issued Thursday for a small town east of Columbus and a major interstate was shut down because of flooding caused by heavy rain.
Linda Goodman, the mayor of the village of Buckeye Lake in Licking County, said in a statement that the mandatory evacuation took effect at 8 p.m. Thursday and would remain in effect for 24 hours.
