SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) – Nearly 100 people gathered Thursday to celebrate a new nursing program in the area, and one lucky student getting a free ride was surprised with the scholarship at her job.
Damenika Jacobs, who is from Mt. Orab and works with children with developmental disabilities in Clermont County, says she always wanted to be a nurse, especially after her father had a stroke.
“Seeing what nurses can do and how important they are to you,” Jacobs said. “They’re always there to hold your hand and be there, and I want to be that person for somebody someday.”…
