GEORGES TOWNSHIP, PA — A 17-year-old motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning in a crash with a box truck in Georges Township, Fayette County, according to authorities.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office identified the rider as Charles Plum of Lake Lynn. He died after being taken to a local hospital, state police said.
Crash Details
Pennsylvania State Police said the wreck happened around 8 a.m. on Morgantown Road at Valley School Road.
Investigators said Plum was riding a Yamaha Virago 750 south on Morgantown Road at a high rate of speed when the collision happened as the box truck turned left onto Morgantown Road from Valley School Road.
