JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Four years after a racially motivated attack claimed three lives at a Jacksonville Dollar General, the city will pause to remember, honor and unite.
Councilwoman Ju’Coby Pittman, the City of Jacksonville and community partners will host the 4th Annual Memorial Ceremony to honor the victims and survivors of the Dollar General shooting on Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Kings Road Memorial Park.
The ceremony will remember Angela Carr, Jerrald Gallion and A.J. Laguerre Jr., who were killed in the senseless shooting on Aug. 26, 2023. This year’s gathering carries the theme “We Remember. We Honor. We Unite.”…
