As students and teachers settle back into the classroom, local restaurants will be supporting public schools in partnership with Knox County’s Partners in Education Foundation.
The 23rd annual Dine Out for Education event will take place on Aug. 25. Participating restaurants will donate 10% of their pre-tax proceeds from Tuesday to Knox County Public Schools.
According to PIE, the proceeds will go to any “unbudgeted needs” throughout the district. Chairperson Adam Wilson said the needs have previously included tables, basketballs, teacher morale initiatives or even, like last year, a painted mural for a middle school…
