CREEDMOOR, N.C. (WNCN) — The Granville County community is trying to make sense of the unexpected loss of a high school student who died in a car crash.
On Tuesday, CBS 17 spoke with close friends of Emma Wallace, a student athlete at South Granville High School.

Aylee Reavis, Wallace’s best friend since third grade, told CBS 17 she got called down to the principal’s office at Vance Charter School where she received the news. Wallace attended Vance Charter before making the move to South Granville.
“I was just screaming, ‘Please tell me it’s a lie,'” Reavis said. “‘Tell me you’re joking. Please tell me she’s okay and she’s going to be alright.’ She changed my life in so many ways. She was always there for me.”…
