The City of Sparks is mourning the unexpected death of Parks and Recreation Director Nancy O’Connor, a longtime public servant credited with leaving a lasting impact on the community and city staff.
O’Connor had served as Sparks’ parks and recreation director since October 2023.
“Nancy was an incredible leader, but more importantly, she was an incredible person and friend,” City Manager Dion Louthan said. “She genuinely cared about people, and you could see that in everything she did. This is a tremendous loss for our City of Sparks family and our community. She will be deeply missed.”…
