EAST ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Staffing shortages at the only 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital in Monroe County have forced many families to be turned away from receiving care for their pets.
Practice Manager for Rochester Emergency Veterinary Services (REVS) Christine Means explained that due to an imbalanced staff-to-patient ratio at their facility in East Rochester, they are often at capacity. Because of this, they are not able to regularly accept new patients.
Means added that REVS has recently hired a few new veterinarians to join their staff but are seeking out additional applicants to complete their team and allow the facility to operate at its fullest potential…
