WAHIAWA, Oahu (KHON2) — State officials are urging residents near and downstream of the Wahiawa Dam to prepare for possible flooding and evacuations.
“Safety is our top priority and understanding how to prepare for possible evacuations is critical,” said HI-EMA Administrator David Lopez.
Current status
As of Friday, Aug. 21, the reservoir was at 77.5 feet, and the state said water has been discharged at the maximum safe rate since last week.
