HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The Horry County Police Department is remembering one of its own one year after his death and celebrating his legacy.
The Horry County Police Department lost Sgt. King Hemingway, 48, one year ago, on Aug. 22, 2025.
Hemingway served Patrol, Special Victims and Homicide Units, Professional Standards and Property Crimes in Horry County for 22 years.
He was also a member of the HCPD Negotiations Team but will be remembered for more than his services, HCPD said…
