$10K Pokémon robbery continues card theft trend through NJ-NY region

A string of Pokémon thefts that began in North Jersey continues through the New York-metro region, as approximately $10,000 worth of cards was stolen from a vendor at Anime NYC — a Manhattan-based Japanese pop culture convention — this weekend.

Joseph Quach, of Las Vegas, was arrested for the robbery and charged with criminal possession of the property.

In New Jersey, the earlier case, which involved three masked suspects breaking into Big Pack Hobby Shop in Rochelle Park and stealing $40,000 of merchandise, remains under investigation. According to town police, “no arrests have been made.”…
