LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Community members, businesses, law enforcement supporters, and competitive shooters gathered at the Lexington Police Firing Range on Saturday to raise money for Bluegrass Crime Stoppers.
Shooting to Help Solve Crime
This was the 23rd Annual Shootout for the Bluegrass Crime Stoppers, in partnership with the Lexington Police Department.
Categories included Top Shooter, Master, Expert, Sharpshooter, Marksman, High Woman, High Senior, High Law Enforcement/Firefighter, High Active, and Retired Military, as well as team competitions. The event included ammunition, breakfast, lunch, drinks, awards, raffles, and a silent auction.
Proceeds will go towards Bluegrass Crime Stoppers and its Crime Stoppers in Schools program. The event plays a critical role in replenishing the reward fund used to compensate anonymous tipsters whose information helps solve crimes and leads to arrests…
