A Black Texas woman turned her house into a short-term rental property after the death of her husband six years ago. What was supposed to be an extra revenue stream turned into a “living nightmare,” as she put it, thanks to the constant complaining of her white neighbor.
LaShaye, who goes by “the_grief_recovery_coach” online, says her next-door neighbor has harassed and photographed her mostly Black guests, filed 200 false complaints with city officials, and called the police on her renters — and even her own family.
So, when LaShaye spotted him one recent afternoon taking photos of her Mansfield-area house, she decided to put him “on blast.”
‘Mind Your Own Business’
In the now-viral video, LaShaye ripped into him, telling him to “mind your own business” and a few other things. She said he became so angry that her son jumped out of the car to defend her. But the moment she started recording, he “calmed down and changed his tune.”…
