The Fort Collins-based nonprofit Realities For Children will host its 25th annual motorcycle poker run and community rally at Grimm Brothers Brewhouse, located at 815 14th St. in Loveland.
Realities’ executive director, Craig Secher, created the event 25 years ago with 70 riders. In 2013, the Guinness Book of Records recognized it as the World’s Largest Motorcycle Poker Run when it garnered 1,531 participants. The 25th Annual Realities Ride & Rally is going for another world record: On Saturday, Aug. 29, the Seattle Cossacks Motorcycle Stunt Team will attempt to set a new world record with 12 men on four motorcycles traveling for a quarter of a mile.
“I have been riding motorcycles my entire life, so creating an event for people who love the freedom of the ride to help children in need was an easy call,” Secher says. “In my experience, bikers are some of the most generous people, and being able to do what we love to make a difference for those in need was an easy decision.”…
