Cherokee Fire reports 3rd structure fire in 24 hours; arrest made

Shortly before 1 a.m., Cherokee E-911 received calls of a house on fire on Bells Ferry Road. First responders with Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services says the home was fully involved.

The homeowner made it out with no injuries, but unfortunately a dog died in the fire. Investigators say the homeowner confirmed to crews that there were no other people inside.

After a thorough investigation, Cherokee County Fire Investigators say the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office have arrested Jackie Ingram on charges of Arson 1st Degree in connection to this fire.
