NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A First Alert is up for Monday (Aug. 24) as another round of strong-to-severe storms is expected into the afternoon and early evening.
Expect heat, humidity and sunshine to reflect the forecast the first half of the day. Once we get to the afternoon and evening, widespread storms are expected. The weather will come racing out of Mississippi as a storm complex drops south. Any storm Monday likely will pack intense lightning, gusty winds and heavy rainfall.
