WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Last night’s showers and storms are ending, and the day ahead looks dry and hotter. After warming into the lower 90s on Sunday, we will climb into the middle 90s today. However, when you factor in the humidity it will feel like 100 degrees, if not hotter this afternoon.
After anther hot and humid Tuesday afternoon with feels like temperatures between 100 and 105 degrees, we quickly turn our attention to storm chances during the evening. Some of the storms will be severe, producing damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rainfall. The storms will start over north and west Kansas after 5 pm and eventually arrive in the Wichita area after 10 pm.
The rest of the work week appears mostly dry and not as hot/humid. Expect highs in the lower 90s on Wednesday and Thursday to be replaced by middle 90s on Friday underneath mainly sunny skies…
