KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — As police in Kalamazoo continue investigating a weekend shooting that left a woman dead, friends and family say they are planning a memorial for Angel Marie Curtis.
One of Curtis’ longtime friends told News 8 that she felt more like a sister who was always genuine, sweet and loving.
Around 2:17 a.m. Saturday, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers happened to be patrolling in the area of Florence Street and Cobb Avenue when they heard shots. While they investigated, they learned Curtis had down up at the hospital with gunshot wounds. She later died. She was 30 years old.
