MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A family in the Parkway Village area says their lives have been uprooted after Saturday’s storm downed trees onto their home and cars.
WREG spoke to a mother of three who says she’s leaning on faith, despite the damage to her family home.
“It was like the biggest crash of my entire life. I never heard anything that loud. The house vibrated. That’s how loud the crash was when the trees fell,” said Briana-Paige Lea, whose home was damaged by Saturday’s storm.

Lea said that she and her family were outside enjoying her birthday and Saturday’s rain, but within minutes, that rainfall shifted to severe weather.
“But then, our doors slammed because of the force of the winds and I said, ‘Okay, guys. We’re going to go in and go in the house,” said Lea. “My husband was outside when the tree fell on our car. And it missed him by just a few inches.”…
