OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) – Blue Valley middle and high school families who usually have to find their own way to class have a brief window to bid for a seat on the school bus.
Blue Valley Schools is offering a limited opportunity for students living within 2.5 miles of their school, normally considered a non-busing zone, to apply for paid bus transportation where space is available on existing routes. Due to limited capacity, seats will be distributed through a lottery system.
The registration portal opens at noon on Monday, Aug. 24, and the deadline to enter the lottery is 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27. Approved bus service is scheduled to begin after Labor Day…
