New State Fire Marshal appointed by Department of Emergency Management

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM) has appointed the next State Fire Marshal.

In a release, ADEM said they have promoted certified fire investigator John Hogue to the role. Hogue has 32 years of experience working in fire, explosive, and hazardous materials, and also has extensive investigative background and statewide operational experience, the agency said.

“John’s depth of experience and proven leadership in complex fire and explosive investigations make him an outstanding choice for State Fire Marshal,” said ADEM Director AJ Gary. “His commitment to public safety, professionalism, and interagency coordination reflects exactly what this role requires to best serve Arkansans.”…
