60 affordable apartments planned for Cleveland’s Cudell neighborhood

CLEVELAND — Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb is marking the first anniversary of a city fund aimed at improving and increasing affordable housing with a tour of a new apartment building under construction in the Cudell neighborhood on the city’s west side.

The four-story building will include 60 one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Families earning between $22,000 and $68,000 a year would qualify to live there, with rents ranging from $500 to $1,450 a month.

The building is less than 15 minutes from schools, libraries and the lakefront. It will include a gym, large windows for natural sunlight and access to public transportation within a short walk…
