COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Piedmont Columbus Regional Northside Emergency Department is expecting the unexpected from nurses inside the hospital in addition to the normal day-to-day patients coming through the ambulance entrance.
11 registered nurses are bringing little ones into the world, creating an unexpected but exciting baby boom among one of the hospital’s busiest teams.
Two babies have already been born, with nine other newborns expected to arrive in the world within the coming months.
Piedmont officials said that the close-knit team is supporting one another through a unique chapter of life.
