Battle Creek police recovered two firearms during an investigation involving several young people on Aug. 20, bringing the department’s total number of illegally possessed firearms seized since February to 67.
The recovery occurred after officers responded at about 4 a.m. to a juvenile trouble call near Greenwood Avenue and Hubbard Street, according to the Battle Creek Police Department.
