Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 800 block of W. Michigan Avenue in Springfield following a report of shots fired shortly before 10:40 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, the department said in a Tuesday press release.
Deputies learned that an unknown individual had driven past a residence and fired multiple rounds into the home. Two men and one woman were inside the residence at the time of the shooting and were not injured. Police said they were able to move to a safe location immediately following the incident.
