LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — A $100 billion SpaceX facility set to get under construction soon in southern Vermilion Parish is expected to create jobs and boost the economy across the Acadiana region, according to Lafayette government and business leaders.
Lafayette Economic Development Authority CEO Mandi Mitchell and Lafayette Mayor-President Monique Blanco Boulet said the project will bring a wide range of well-paying jobs to the area.
