ABBEVILLE, La. – Drivers heading through downtown Abbeville Tuesday morning will want to plan ahead as local law enforcement prepares for what could be one of the biggest economic development announcements in recent South Louisiana history.
Gov. Jeff Landry is scheduled to make a major economic development announcement at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, at Magdalen Place in Abbeville. Multiple reports indicate the announcement is expected to involve SpaceX and plans for a major project near Pecan Island in Vermilion Parish.
