Run off likely in Huntsville City Council District 3 race

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — It looks like Huntsville District 3’s city council seat will be decided in a runoff, as no one has the votes needed to win.

The race pitted incumbent Jennie Robinson against challengers Liliana Peinder and John Stuart.

RESULTS: Huntsville residents cast votes for city council, school board seats in 2026 Municipal Election

It appears that Robinson and Peinder will meet again in a runoff on Sept. 22, with Robinson holding 48 percent of the vote and Peinder holding 30.6 percent.
