The Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office is investigating the water theft allegations against Modesto Irrigation District Board Member Larry Byrd.
Terry Seese, chief of investigations for the district attorney, confirmed the investigation into allegations that Byrd stole and misused water from MID to irrigate his almond orchards in eastern Stanislaus County.
