PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — The City of Pensacola has opened a childcare facility at the historic Alice Williams Library as part of the Mayor’s Childcare Access Program.

According to a City of Pensacola Facebook post, the center is for children from birth to two years old and is “aimed at expanding high-quality, affordable childcare options throughout the city.”
The project was possible thanks to a $500,000 African American Culture and Historical grant through the Florida Department of State, and another $300,000 in Community Redevelopment Agency funding.
