City of Fort Wayne hopeful for ‘near future’ installation of downtown public restroom after variance approved

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – The City of Fort Wayne announced Wednesday that its variance request for the Portland Loo, a downtown public restroom, was approved.

The approval follows an appeal on the city’s original variance request after a contractor labeled the facility as a place for people experiencing homelessness rather than for general use.
