HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A man charged with capital murder for the 2023 shooting of two women is asking for bond a week after a mistrial was declared in his case.
Attorneys for Tye Stevens are asking the Madison County Circuit Court to set bond for Stevens after his trial last week ended with a deadlocked jury.

Stevens is charged with capital murder for the deadly shootings of D’Asia Monique Morris and Sequoiya Mone’e Lamar, which took place on Bonnell Drive in August 2023.
In its motion, the defense asks for bond to be set due to Alabama law only calling for capital murder suspects to be ineligible for bond “if the court is of the opinion on the evidence adduced that he or she is guilty of the offense.”…
