PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies say a man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly robbing a bank near Battle Creek.
The robbery happened around 10 a.m. at the Huntington Bank on Capital Avenue NE near E. Roosevelt Avenue in Pennfield Township, according to a release from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies did not specify what was taken, but they said all the employees were OK.
After watching surveillance footage, deputies sent a suspect description to surrounding law enforcement agencies. Not long after, officers with the Battle Creek Police Department found a man matching the description along Capital Avenue NE, according to the release. They detained him so the sheriff’s office could investigate further.
